Faux Fur

Late nights talking to friends about horrible after pregnancy stories and I have nothing on my mind fashion related... (so sorry). The only thing I can think about is how totally grateful I am for having Reyli naturally and easy even the aftermath was kinda not so hard or freakish as others have told me it has been for them. Well, minus the cracking of the nipples and Reyli starting to shit through his back! Any who totally unrelated and such but just a little crazy before bed.
Now on to this look, I have been obsessing over this faux fur infinity scarf for a while and finally got it on camera. The color is lovely and very versatile. Specially with my usual color palette of grays and neutrals. Everything about this makes me happy and comfy. It adds a certain level of chic-ness that elevates the look just enough from office to drinks out with the girls. No need for fuzzy coats in California!
Thank you for reading hope you enjoy the weekend!!!

  XO SURY.

Grays for Winter

Here we go! How fun is this little gray cape of mine? Well it's not really a cape but I like to call it that haha! I have had this forever and rarely even used it, why? It beats me it's super cool and versatile specially for California weather since it's never really super cold here. The quarter sleeve keeps me from suffocating! And the color goes with everything. Neutral is usually my go to they're timeless pieces that will just move with you into any season. No need for new clothes unless you're really into the trend. On this occasion we spend the day at Downtown Riverside looking at the lights festival and it was crazy windy! This turtle neck little sweater I got at Forever21 for supper cheap considering the thickness of it. Any who they're predicting a bit of rain in the next few days I hope you enjoy it along with this Outfit!

Sweater Weather

This little outfit was taken a few days before this wk of rain down poured L.A  but thank you Baby Jesus for this rain we are in desperate need of it! Even though the rain is still going on you can totally rock this ensemble since it never really gets freezing cold here. Just maybe you'd like to ditch the glasses if  anything and even then never mind I usually keep them because when it pours outside I give my face a breather so it's a no makeup day.
Nothing is ever new these days and this outfit, I've pulled from the dozens of ways to put a sweater together or at the very least to make it look put together Hehe! Here it is throw a blazer on it! I'm always looking for the simplest form of classic or chic I don't ever have the time to complicate my life and think about how something is going to look. I want and need to be sure it'll look good and I'll be comfortable. This outfit does all of it, its cozy, classic and comfy.
These are my three C's to dress by!!!

Thank you for stopping by and reading a bit!

XO, Sury

Mad For Plaid

It's October friends!!! I am beyond exited (not so much about the weather) but because we begin to plan for anything Halloween. My son Reyli was born in this month and before I actually got the hang of it, his party planning would freak me out. Now we actually enjoy it and we've made it a tradition for us as parents to dress up with the kids. So I was thinking I can actually help you create some easy and inexpensive alternatives to actually buying your costume. so in the next few posts I will have that for you so stay tuned!
Now about this outfit, this flannel plaid shirt I bought some time ago at Fashion Q and have had it for over 4 yrs does that say anything to you? Well it should say stick to classics! These items will withstand the high and lows of fashion promise. Now these pants are from Macy's and I'm usually not  the type to go crazy with tie dye or any type of pattern, but I am a sucker for some shredded details. Now the shoes I shall not lie they are BCBGeneration and they were on sale! I was crazy mad about this outfit and I am still totally obsessed with these heels Super comfy!

Happy Hump Day and 1st of October see you soon!

XO, Sury

Lace and Sunsets

In between the scorching hot rays and the now accumulating clouds I am one confused chick. Like (I hate to use "like, like a lot") come on mother nature get it together Like are you kidding me does she also get periods and maybe just maybe Like is she totally having hot flashes or having that bitchy mood swing??? Okay it's over "Like" has had it's moment on the blog and its totally out of my system. Now on to the daily battle that is dressing up every morning. I am oh so thankful for A.C's but... (we are just never happy are we) how am I suppose to dress  nicely and then freeze to death at some office or class room?
I got CHU'!!! lol I kid, I kid with my slang you guys.. but I DO! so simple carry those simple yet chic cotton blazers everywhere! Another tip wear lacy bra's as much as your body permits, to stay cool and fuss free (the one I'm wearing is from Calvin Klein). Because for once I am totally happy for falling for the false advertising of bigger boobs when having a child... See here never happened. If you have the misfortune of having a totally hot womanly body well in that case, well that sucks doesn't? In your case disregard clothes altogether and just head to a nude beach.
Because that's totally where I'd be.

XO, Sury

Fall's Blues

This week definitely started out scorching hot! I am really wondering where is Fall in this mid Sept?? I am now nostalgic of scarfs and trips to the Getty and Observatory when the weather permits, walking through these places with hazelnut macchiato's in hand. For now I am trying to make the most of it. I am though caring my sadness with me, figuratively speaking of course. Fall Blues, this time around I wore Navy all over and mixed this color with camel the result I thought was very chic. Mixing pattern worries is a thing of the past! This blouse from Fashion Q is one of my favorites it fits me perfectly and its light enough that I can wear it in this heat. These shorts are so amazingly comfy and SO cool I am obsessed! So take advantage of this weather and make the most of summer clothes while you still can!
Happy Tuesday Babe's!!!
