Dinner Ready

Can we be anymore exited for the Holidays or what??? It's happening guys and they're coming so fast we'll soon be like did I just eat all that? Even worse, "Have we  been eating tamales for a month already?" Lol well the inevitable is coming and we will love it! Even more so we will love the opportunity to get a little dolled up Yay!
Now for the first of those Q & A's this one was pretty easy and I loved that you guys loved the sweater post I did a few days back. My sweet friend asked if I could put an outfit together with another sweater for a dinner party and Voila! I hope you guys like it!
This sweater thing is becoming a bit of an obsession to me and so convenient. They're pulled together and you will never be cold! So please try and show me DM if your shy or #itssurystyle so I can see.
Always Big thanks for stopping by

Lumber Jack

Hola! My beautiful people. Today I feel the need to pay you guys back some compliments and not just the "looking good!" ones, but a little beyond. There aren't many of you that follow the Blog and it's content and I swear I am at blame for that. Lack of effort maybe but mainly lack of time. I am very much sure we all are and trust I am not crying you a river or complaining because I'd like to think I spend my time rather wisely #itsthelittlethings that have always mattered. Any who today is all about you and thanking you for the support mainly on Instagram, Thank you for the sweet comments the DM's of how you love my style and the simplicity that I bring to the Blog. These DM's have also brought to my attention the couple questions on how to wear certain pieces that are still in your closet waiting to be worn. I am so happy that I can be of some use to you guys in any way possible. So before moving on I really want to thank you for your kind words and your little virtual kisses of affection, it really is incredible to me that complete strangers can support a person the way you guys have to me.
Back to these questions I have been asked many times on mixing patterns even textures and here's the low down:
Leopard has become a neutral, don't be afraid of pairing it with almost anything. Plaid, stripes, gingham in a smaller scale also looks great.
Leopard and cameo Gosh pls try!!!
Floral prints and polka dots, or polka dots with stripes is super cute and very girly.
Leather is also a great neutral for mixing textures like with fur and suede.
Black, gray, khaki, and at times any solid color also fall in the neutral category.
These are just a few but look up Olivia Palermo, she is the queen of mixing anything that woman can do no wrong.
Now for my simple example to share with you all take plaid and mix a chic patterned scarf and you are set for the chilly mornings this Cali weather brings us!

Thanks for stopping by!

Stockings and Sunsets

My Lord thank you for the heavens above and the rain we got just before the weekend started!
It made for the perfect weather and it gave us endless reason's besides homework, to stay home and cuddle with like 5 blankets. Although we might have exaggerated on the amount of blankets used, we have not on how amazingly beautiful the days were. The sunsets to be specific here in Cali are the best and I fall in love with this weather more and more everyday.
I was more thrilled to be able to wear my booties without overheating and stockings! Even more so my wonderful little hat!!! So I finally got to be all Autumn- out sort of speak; jacket, scarf and all. So cheers to more awesome chilly days like the ones we got to experience this past weekend and to all a wonderful November!

XO, Sury

Black and White is Best

Stressful days are very much eminent now a days specially to us multi-tasking mums how we do it I have no idea I have no advice, I have no routine and I most definitely have no plan. That's not counting the times where unexpected things come up and were running around like crazy! Still we're thankful for the good, the bad and the totally unexplainable banana peels behind the trash can that never seem to make into the wide rectangular opening.
This is were my love for cooler weather comes from. The ability to be able to hide under a hat, the easy days of leggings and big roomy sweaters and boots! Still waiting for it here in Cali but non the less it has started, for the gloomy mornings to the chilly sunsets I am oh so very Thankful!
So here goes what I would say the first of the cozy posts, sweater involved? yes, hat check! leggings and boots not so, not yet. These trousers are actually even better than leggings they're fleece lined  and omg so cozy and warm! The hat is probably my favorite part, bad messy hair days what?? not under this hat! Love the simplicity of looks like this totally into them. Meanwhile the weather makes up it's mind about what to be for Halloween whether it be sunny or cold, you'll find me under a hat somewhere at your nearest pumpkin patch.

Thank you for stopping by!

Gingham and Plaid

Because of this crazy little weather I have been in the desperate need to hide my face behind sunglasses and hats. We recently took my son for a little trip  to target so he could choose a costume unfortunate for the hubby we walked out costume less and with many unnecessary necessities ... for example this really cool Gingham hat! I love it its kinda fleece lined and its perfect for this by polar California weather. It screams Fall but yet it still does a wonderful job protecting you from the sun!
This outfit was so easy to pull together and I am comfy as can be running errands around town.
SO happy begging of week start planning those Halloween costumes cause it'll be here in no time!! (Should probably take my own advice...)

Thank you for stopping By!!!

Mad For Plaid

It's October friends!!! I am beyond exited (not so much about the weather) but because we begin to plan for anything Halloween. My son Reyli was born in this month and before I actually got the hang of it, his party planning would freak me out. Now we actually enjoy it and we've made it a tradition for us as parents to dress up with the kids. So I was thinking I can actually help you create some easy and inexpensive alternatives to actually buying your costume. so in the next few posts I will have that for you so stay tuned!
Now about this outfit, this flannel plaid shirt I bought some time ago at Fashion Q and have had it for over 4 yrs does that say anything to you? Well it should say stick to classics! These items will withstand the high and lows of fashion promise. Now these pants are from Macy's and I'm usually not  the type to go crazy with tie dye or any type of pattern, but I am a sucker for some shredded details. Now the shoes I shall not lie they are BCBGeneration and they were on sale! I was crazy mad about this outfit and I am still totally obsessed with these heels Super comfy!

Happy Hump Day and 1st of October see you soon!

XO, Sury
